Racing for Will
During the 2026 Berlin E-Prix, Taylor Barnard used his platform in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship to highlight something far more important than racing, standing alongside GB3 driver and childhood friend, Will Macintyre.
Across the race weekend, Barnard carried a TeamWill37 sticker on both his helmet and car, a visible show of support for Macintyre as he continues to face an incredibly challenging period away from the track.

In September 2025, after several months of persistent health concerns, Macintyre was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and lung cancer. The diagnosis marked the beginning of an ongoing and complex medical journey.
A brain biopsy at the John Radcliffe Hospital provided an initial indication of hope, leading to further specialist care at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Since then, he has undergone extensive testing, treatment, and monitoring.
More recently, treatment for vasculitis was halted following a decline in his overall health, alongside further complications including a brain bleed that required hospital admission. Macintyre then underwent chemotherapy but has since stopped due to lack of effectiveness but continues his fight with determination and resilience.
Just a year ago, the 18-year-old British driver was celebrating race victories in GB3. Today, his focus has shifted to a far more significant challenge.
Taylor Barnard’s 2026 Helmet
Barnard’s tribute in Berlin reflected a friendship that extends well beyond motorsport. Having grown up together, the gesture carried genuine personal meaning, a quiet but powerful way of showing that Macintyre has the full support of those closest to him.
The TeamWill37 message was present throughout the weekend, integrated into both helmet and car design, ensuring that his support remained visible on a global stage.
Importantly, Barnard was not alone in this gesture. Drivers and teams across the Formula E paddock also adopted the TeamWill37 message, reinforcing a collective show of support and demonstrating the unity within the championship during difficult circumstances.

The response from across the paddock underlined the strength of the motorsport community. While competition remains central to Formula E, moments like these highlight a shared respect and solidarity that extends far beyond the track.
Berlin therefore became more than just a race weekend, it served as a reminder of the people behind the sport, and the willingness of the community to come together in support of one of its own.
As the season continues, the message behind TeamWill37 remains clear. Motorsport is built on resilience, determination, and support. Values that carry equal importance away from the circuit.
Will Macintyre’s fight continues, backed by the unwavering support of his family, friends, and the wider racing community.
